Kansas photobook: Sunrise
A couple of months ago I started working the overnight shift at my present job. Before this I can’t remember the last time I saw a sunrise. I’d seen plenty of sunsets, but not one sunrise for several years. It’s one of those things you don’t think about much until you’re seeing it and find yourself awed by how beautiful it is. There are a lot of people who think of Kansas as a fly-over state. Personally, I think the sunrise alone is worth stopping for.

The world outside my window
Some people travel the world to find something new, but sometimes the best discoveries are found in your own backyard. I’ve been living in the same apartment for a few years and never walked around to the back of the building until recently. Apparently, there’s a faery glen just outside my bedroom window I’ve not been aware of. Or maybe it’s a secret entrance to Hogwarts. One way or the other, there are some magically beautiful trees.
